At Daybreak, we believe that we are all learning together about the Bible and how it applies to our lives. Our staff is committed to helping others understand Bible truths and incoporate them into everyday living.

If you are longing for a sense of connection in your life, please email the pastor or visit us on Sunday for more information about how Daybreak Community Church can help.

DREW BOSWELL, Senior Pastor-Teacher
DREW BOSWELL, Senior Pastor-Teacher Welcome to the staff “neck of the woods,” I would love to get to know you. Well, here’s a little bit about me. I am a native of Alabama and sometimes that fact slips out occasionally as I may pronounce a word a little differently than you may be used to. Sometimes the backwoods adventures of my childhood find their way into a sermon here and there. One of my favorite stories is when I found the human skull in my father’s car – I’ll have to tell you sometime. I am an alumni of Auburn University, and I thought I was going into public service, but God had another plan. He called me into the ministry my senior year and I then followed Him to seminary at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (that’s a mouth full) in Wake Forest, North Carolina.

It was during these early years of ministry that I met my beautiful wife Kimberly Sue (formerly Roberts). We both graduated with degrees from seminary and she is God’s gift to keeping me straight. We have three wonderful children (Joshua, Caleb, and Hannah-Grace) and man do they keep us laughing and cleaning.

God originally called me to Daybreak as an Associate Pastor in June of 2000, but when the then senior pastor moved to another ministry the church prayed and voted for me to become senior pastor. That was May 4th, 2003. It has been a wild ride ever since and God has done some wonderful things along the way. I hope you would consider joining the journey with us as we discover the wonders of being God’s children. God bless and don’t let me forget to tell you about the skull in my father’s car!

CRAIG GORDON, Director of Evangelism and Missions
CRAIG GORDON, Director of Evangelism and Missions Hi! Let me introduce myself and I'll give you a chance to do the same later on. My name is Craig and I hail from the great state of New York. I always tell people that I am from upstate NY because if I don't, they ask me what part of the city... like the Big Apple is all there is to New York! Well, now you too can say that you've met someone from NY who didn't grow up in the city!

So, after growin' up in the backwoods and gettin' some educatin' at the state university, my wife Connie and I moved to Maryland and began a family. When you meet me in person, you'll no doubt also meet Connie along with my son Brian and daughter Hannah as we are usually always together (well, until we send Brian off to college - oh too soon!).

Anyway, I'm a computer guy working for just one company for my whole career and am tremendously thankful to God that I have the best job, best family, and that he has placed me in the greatest church family ever. But ever so much more than that, I bow down and thank God for my personal encounter with Christ in 1999 - an encounter that has resulted in me seeing and appreciating God's wonderful creation and my special role in it.

At Daybreak, you'll find me serving in the youth ministry, facilitating a small group, pitching in with children's church, and being a wanna-be helping our praise band get set up on Sunday mornings. In my role as Director of Evangelism and Missions, I'm responsible for leading our church family to and through opportunities to share our personal experiences with God - to share them with folks that have not met Him yet. We do this through summer daycamps, servant evangelism, knocking on doors, mission trips, talking to our neighbors, providing respite for needy families, serving on disaster relief teams, puppets . . . the opportunities are endless. And always exciting.

OK, so now that you've met me, I'd love to meet you. When you see me at Daybreak, or just walking down the street, you can greet me like an old friend and I'll probably feel the fool when I can't remember ever meeting you! I am sure you can have a good laugh over it! See you around.

Dan and Donna Sheron, Youth Leaders
Dan and Donna Sheron, Youth Leaders We are so pleased to be leading the youth at Daybreak Community Church. More is expected of you at Daybreak--no body goes unnoticed! Every person plays a vital part and the youth are no exception. In fact they are not the church of tomorrow but the church of today! God is stirring up our students and we believe they will change the world for Christ!

We met 20+ years ago while living in two different states (New York and Florida.) Both of us were directors of Christian theater ministries. We were introduced by a young actress who knew that we both directed, acted and wrote our own plays--she knew we had to meet! Well once we finally got on the phone chatted for over an hour. God said, "Stick a fork in them! They're done!" We were married about a year later!

Since there is a lot of drama in youth ministries it's not a far leap! Plus we have 4 teens of our own (plus 3 other children) so you know we love hanging out with them. At any given moment there is usally 10+ kids in our house and we wouldn't have it any other way.

Please go to our Student Ministries/Ozone page on the web site to read about all the exciting upcoming events!

CATHY SANTIAGO, Administrative Secretary
CATHY SANTIAGO, Administrative Secretary Hello. Thank you for stopping by to meet me. My name is Cathy and I am the secretary here at Daybreak. I grew up as an Air Force brat and then I became an Army wife so I guess you could say I was raised all over the world. In 1999, my husband and I decided to make Maryland our home. In 2001, we fell in love with Frederick and started to grow our roots here with our two beautiful daughters. I am blessed to have my family encourage and support me in my mission to know and serve God.

Working here with my Daybreak family has been a wonderful opportunity for my professional career but most importantly, the continual learning that I am blessed to experience on a daily basis is amazing.

After looking through all that the website has to offer, please feel free to call me. I am more than happy to answer any questions that you may have.
